This guide will show you how to install and setup the 3CX soft phone app on your Apple Mac.

IMPORTANT - If you’re already have a web client login, you can skip to step 3
1. Find your welcome email
When we first setup your system, you will receive an email from 3CX containing all the information you’ll need to setup your 3CX web client.
2. Login to the web client on your Mac
Using the details in your 3CX welcome email, login to the 3CX web client.
3. Download the 3cx Mac App
Once logged into the 3CX Web App, click on the Apple logo in the top left of your 3CX web app interface. This will open a popup window.
4. Click the ‘Install’ Button
Click on the install button under the desktop app of the popup window. When clicked, this will download a .dmg (Mac application install) file.
If you’re using Safari, you may have to allow the website to download the file.
5. Open the .dmg File that you Downloaded
Go to your downloads folder and open the .dmg file you just downloaded.
6. Follow the Instructions to Install the 3CX Mac App
The file will open an install wizard, follow the installation instructions to complete the installation of your 3CX Mac App.
Most installers require you to drag the 3CX icon into your applications folder
7. Open the 3CX Mac App
Navigate to your Mac’s Applications folder and open the 3CX Mac app.
8. Click the ‘Provision’ Button on the Web App
Go back to your 3CX app inside your web browser (Chrome/Safari etc), and click on the Apple logo in the top left.
When the popup appears, click the ‘Provision’ button.
Once clicked, your 3CX Mac App will open and connect to your 3CX phone system automatically. You should see your team members and contacts appear automatically and your call history should be available.
